LightForce and SureSmile use the same type of soft metal wires for comfort and similar digital technology and treatment planning software to create custom occlusal setups for each patient. The difference between the two technologies is that SureSmile uses conventional brackets with details designed into custom wires and LightForce uses straight wires with treatment details built into 3D printed translucent brackets.
